Halong Bay

Cuc Phuong, the first National Park of Vietnam which was established in 1962, is 140 km South of Hanoi , 55km from Ninh Binh, roughly 25,000 hectares. There’s more to northeastern Vietnam than Ha long Bay. The sinking limestone plateau. Which gave birth to the bay’s spectacular islands, continues for some 100km to the Chinese border. The area immediately northeast of Ha long Bay is part of Bai Tu Long National Park (tell: 793 365).

Halong Bay Located in the northeastern part of Vietnam and constitutes part of the western bank of Bac Bo Gulf, including the sea area of Ha Long City and Cam Pha Town and part of Van Don island district. It abuts Cat Ba Island in the southwest. Halong Bay has twice been recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Area for its exceptional scenic beauty and outstanding geological and geomorphic values.

Quan Lan Island (Quanlan) belongs to Bai Tu Long Bay, part of an island range on the outside of the gulf of Tonkin . It has an area of 11 sq. km, and features eight populated hamlets. A trip to Cat Ba island can be separated or combined with a visit to Halong Bay . This is the largest island in the Cat Ba Archipelago that consists of 350 limestone outcrops adjacent to Halong.
